The original request was to create a festive, family friendly flyer for the church Christmas carols event that includes information in two languages for the three carols events and space to list out all eight services.
This project expanded to further content at the last minute.
For the concept of the flyer, I wanted to convey the sense of marvel one might have when they pull back the curtains at a theatre. So when you open the flyer, it’s like revealing the magic behind the curtains on the front page. As the event is called Carols on the Lawn because it is literally held on the church lawn, I designed a miniature of the church building against a rolling green lawn.
The song lyrics booklet cover starts with open curtains because the audience has arrived at the event.
